Electrical Sensitivity: What to look for in new house

Greetings,

We are looking to move due to health issues with our current housing. We are looking to move from the city to a fairly rural setting, near the ocean (Washington state, USA). Wondering what your recommendations are for as safe as can be housing. What are the most important things to look for?

We are trying to stay 1+ miles from all towers and antennas. We may not be able to get that, but with the sparse population where we are looking there are far fewer towers all over, which may count for something. Also, trying to stay 1/2 + miles from any power transformer stations. Avoiding neighbors with radio towers on property is another priority.

What other hazards should we look for on 1) nearby properties, and 2) at the house we purchase?

Truly appreciate your expertise and insight. Thanks in advance!!

Tom and Sandra,

Have you looked at the series of articles entitled 'Buying an EMF safe Property' on the Powerwatch library section http://www.powerwatch.org.uk/library/index.asp
It applies primarily, especially with regard to detail, to the UK situation, but a lot of the information will be similar.
Perhaps you might start with that and come back with any more questions for people to comment on, especially American contributors.
