I have just bought a 2006 Renault Scenic and am experiencing symptoms similar to when I talk on a mobile phone, and shifting pain in my legs and upper back and neck. I know that certain models of Volvo have been shown to have high levels of EMFs. Does anybody know if the Renault Scenic has high levels also?
Thanks

I do not know, sorry. You will have to measure them. However, they normally occur in large cars that have their batteries in the boot/trunk, rather than with the engine at the front.
Another common cause are magnetised tires (they can be demagnetised / degaussed. Try sitting in different places in the car and have someone else drive it and see if you experience the same symptoms.
Also, check that it has not got a bluetooth unit fitted (unlikley, I think). It may have been fitted in the previous owner used a mobile phone in the car.
I expect you have already tried altering the height, position and angle of the seat and, if possible, the steering wheel? Upper back and neck are not higly likely to be due to an EMF problem. Check if there are electric seat warmers fitted and disconnect them if there are any.
Best of luck tracking down the cause of your problem.
